Belarus says some 200 of its nationals fighting for Ukraine alongside nationalists - TASS

Around 200 Belarusians are fighting for Ukraine alongside nationalists, a senior Belarusian Interior Ministry official said on Monday.

"The available data suggest that some 200 Belarusians are fighting for Ukraine alongside nationalists," the Belarusian Interior Ministry quoted Deputy Interior Minister Gennady Kazakevich as saying on its website. 

"These are mostly so-called soccer ultras and participants in 2020 protests who have committed various crimes and managed to escape prosecution," he added.
