NATO military exercise : US military plane crashes in northern Norway

A US military aircraft with four people onboard crashed late Friday in northern Norway, according to state media.

The aircraft was taking part in a NATO military exercise, Cold Response 2022, when it was reported missing, said Norwegian state broadcaster NRK.

Search and rescue efforts are underway at the crash site under bad weather conditions, regional emergency services (HRS) spokesman Jan Eskil Severinsen told the NRK television channel.

Severinsen said authorities know nothing about the health of the four who were onboard.
