US President Joe Biden will make an announcement on new measures targeting Russia over its special military operation in Ukraine, according to the US leader’s schedule published by the White House.
The speech is expected to begin at around 18:15 Moscow time on Friday.
Biden will call for ending normal trade relations with Russia, Reuters reported earlier on Friday citing a source familiar with the situation. According to the report, among the proposed measures will be raising tariffs for Russian imports.
The call will be coordinated with Washington’s partners, including G7 members, the agency said.
