Asian countries face record COVID resurgence

 Many Southeast Asian nations that were seen as coronavirus success stories are now being forced to impose new restrictions as infections surge to record levels.

 In Malaysia, a two-week nationwide "total lockdown" has come into effect. And Vietnam has suspended all international flights.
