Navalny case: France’s Macron ‘strongly condemns’ Russia expelling Germany, Sweden, Poland diplomats - VIDEO

 The Russian government has expelled Swedish, German and Polis diplomats​ this Friday, accusing them of taking part in protests for the release of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny​. 

This comes the same day as EU Foreign Affairs chief Josep Borrell met his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, and as German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron​ were holding talks on security this afternoon. 

The latter voiced his “strong condemnation” of Russia​’s move.
