La explosión según reportes del corresponsal de SANA, tuvo como blanco a un puesto de control de los mercenarios proturcos en la entrada sur de la ciudad de Ras al-Ain en el campo norte de a provincia de Hasakeh.

At least 16 personnel of Turkish-led forces were killed and 12 others were injured in a car bomb explosion in the Turkish-occupied Syrian town of Ras al-Ayn on December 10. According to Turkish sources, the casualties included Turkish soldiers. 2 soldiers were allegedly killed and 6 others were injured. Some reports claim that the number of killed Turkish soldiers is in fact 3.
