Turkish Army Set to Launch Major Offensive against Kurds in Raqqa

 The Turkish army and allied militants are preparing for occupation of the town of Tal Abyadh in Northern Raqqa after recent attacks on the positions of the Kurdish militias in the region, field sources said on Saturday.

The sources reported that the Turkish army has killed a number of Kurdish forces in Tal Abyadh in heavy machine-gun attacks.

Meantime, Turk Press news website quoted Arabi 21 website as reporting that the Turkish army is preparing for military operations against the Kurds in Tal Abyadh.

According to the report, a meeting was held in Turkey between the Turkish commanders and a number of militants stationed in Tal Abyadh to start military operations against the Kurds in the region.

  4. The US will not pull its troops out of Syria until its goals are accomplished there, Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said. This comes after Washington carried out airstrikes in Syria in response to an alleged chemical attack.
    US currently has over 2,000 troops in Syria and a number of contractors.

    While it is America’s goals to see the troops come home, “we are not going to leave until we know we have accomplished those things,” she told Fox News Sunday.
