Death toll due to floods, landslides on Indonesia's Java island climbs to 34
At least 34 people have been killed by floods, landslides and tornados caused by tropical depression Cempaka in Indonesia's most populated island of Java, officials said Friday.


The storm has mainly hit 28 regions, although the worst affected is the southwest Pacitan district, where 20 people have died, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho of the Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency said in a statement.
