Lebanese leader in France for talks with Macron

Mr Hariri's press office said he arrived in the French capital this morning.
Saad al-Hariri, who resigned as Lebanon's prime minister this month while in Saudi Arabia, has arrived in Paris for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.


A statement from Mr Hariri's press office said he arrived in the French capital this morning.

Mr Hariri told Lebanese President Michel Aoun in a phone call from Paris that he would be in Lebanon on Wednesday for Independence Day celebrations, Mr Aoun said on Twitter.

Mr Hariri will meet Mr Macron at noon and then attend a lunch in his honour with his wife and eldest son, the statement said.
