Israeli Army Planned Nusra Attack on Hadar City in Syria’s Quneitra

Israeli-occupied Golan Heights
Nusra Front terrorist group launched on Friday a large scale attack on Hadar city in the Syrian province of Quneitra in order to link it to Mount Bait Jann in Mount Hermon.

Hezbollah military media reported that the Israeli army had been planning the attack for several weeks through facilitating the movement of the terrorists in the area.

  • The Israeli army on Friday expressed its readiness to help residents of a Syrian Druze village in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights that has been rocked by recent clashes between the Syrian regime and armed opposition groups.

“Fighting has recently spread [from Syria] to the Druze village of Hader in the Golan Heights,” Israeli army spokesman Ronen Manelis said in a statement.

The offer by the Israeli army is highly unusual since Israel has so far refrained -- with a handful of exceptions -- from involving itself in the conflict next door.

"The Israeli army is ready to help village residents,” Manelis said, stressing the Jewish state’s “commitment to the Druze community”.

The spokesman went on to assert that the army would “not harm residents or occupy the village”.

Earlier this week, the Israeli media reported that Syrian opposition groups had attacked urban areas near the village, which, it said, had fallen to Assad regime forces.

The reports, however, could not be independently verified.

"Allegations of Israeli involvement with, or support for, jihadist elements fighting in Syria are groundless," Manelis said in the same statement.

Israel, which itself is home to a sizeable Druze community, has occupied most of the Syrian Golan Heights since the 1967 Arab-Israeli War.

  • People of Occupied Syrian Golan took to the streets to protest the Israeli support for the terrorist attack launched by by al-Nusra Front on the town of Hadar in the countryside of Quneitra.

Hundreds of Syrians demonstrated inside the occupied territories off the town of Hadar, which has been subjected, since the dawn, to a violent terrorist attack launched by al-Nusra and backed by the Israeli occupation entity from al-Tuloul al-Homr area that is adjacent to the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories, local sources in the Occupied Golan told SANA.

According to the sources, the demonstrators tried to cross the ceasefire line to support the families of Hadar town in confronting the terrorist attacks amid reinforcements of the enemy’s soldiers to prevent them from advancing.

The sources added that the Israeli Occupied Forces closed all the roads leading from the occupied Palestine to prevent the arrival of hundreds of Arab citizens to the occupied Golan to support the people in Hadar.

At dawn on Friday, a terrorist suicide bomber of al-Nusra blew himself up in a car bomb among houses on the outskirts of Hadar town, leaving nine people dead and 23 injured.

The death toll is likely to rise as most of the wounded sustained serious injuries and were pulled out of debris with difficulty due to the terrorists’ targeting of the explosion site with gunfire and rocket shells.
