Suggesting that previous administrations have entered into negotiations with the People's Democratic Republic of Korea (DPRK) with little to no result, Trump made his comment, but then refused to define what the "thing" is that he is referring to, according to Reuters.
"Presidents and their administrations have been talking to North Korea for 25 years, agreements made and massive amounts of money paid," Trump tweeted, adding, "…Hasn't worked, agreements violated before the ink was dry, making fools of U.S. negotiators. Sorry, but only one thing will work!"
The US president's tweets appear to imply that military action could be at the top of the list of things he is considering.
In ratcheting up the warlike rhetoric, Trump has previously declared that the US will "totally destroy" the DPRK if required as a means to protect itself and its allies from the threat of a nuclear attack.
