Ecuador: US aggression on Syria clear violation of a UN member state’s soverienghty

The Ecuadorian government condemned the latest US aggression on Syria, affirming that this aggression is a clear violation of the sovereignty of a member state of the United Nations.


In an official statement issued by the Ecuadorian Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Ecuador government expressed its firm commitment to the Charter of the United Nations and the international law and it calls for finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria that ends the suffering of the Syrian people that has been ongoing for more than six years.

The statement said that the Ecuador government condemned also the use of chemical weapons, calling for an investigation into the incident that took place in Khan Sheikhoun in Idleb countryside.
