Syrian Gov't Forces Inch Closer to Turkish Troops near Al-Bab

Syrian Army troops continued their advances against ISIL terrorists in the Eastern parts of Aleppo province and approached the positions of the Turkish forces and Ankara-backed militant groups that are fighting the ISIL in the town of al-Bab.

The army soldiers continued to beat ISIL back from more key positions near al-Bab after they took control over the towns of Salmiyeh and al-Maydouneh and their surrounding farms.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL and won back al-Ma'amoun university, the town of Ein al-Jahash and the key hill of al-Moshayrefeh to the West of town of al-Sheikh Den.

The army's advance towards Ein al-Jahash is considered as the first direct advance of government forces towards al-Bab town.
