Kaos Times: US launches airstrikes on Islamic State camps in Libya

The United States has carried out airstrikes on positions of the Islamic State jihadist group in Libya, the US Department of Defense said Thursday.


The "precision" airstrikes were carried out Wednesday night in conjunction with Libya's national unity government and destroyed two of the jihadists' camps located 45 kilometers (28 miles) southwest of the city of Sirte, Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook said in a statement.
