Agreement to end armed presence in al-Tal city implemented

A source at the reconciliation committee in al-Tal city in Damascus Countryside confirmed on Friday that the city has become clear of weapons and militants in a step that paves the way for the return of state institutions.

In a statement to SANA, the source affirmed that the agreement, which was reached in the past few days to end to armed presence in the city, has been implemented.

The source added that a number of militants have had their legal status settled according to the Amnesty Decree no.15 for 2016 while the rest of militants have been guaranteed an exit after they laid down arms to make the city fully free of weapons and militants.
