Russian President Vladimir Putin knows about the situation with Ukraine’s plans to carry out missile tests over the Crimean territorial waters in the Black Sea, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
The presidential spokesman said Russia’s Ministry of Transport is "taking all the necessary measures" in this situation.
When asked if Putin monitors the situation, Peskov said: "Of course he does".
Earlier in the day, Russia’s Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov said that Russia had discussed with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) the situation around Ukraine’s plans to carry out missile tests near Crimea. "We informed ICAO of this and expect a response from this international organization," Sokolov told reporters.
