Russian MoD: UN has to give guarantees to resume any humanitarian pause in Aleppo

Russian Defense Ministry called on the UN to offer guarantees on halting the attacks of terrorists in Aleppo as a provision to resume the humanitarian pause.


“To resume the humanitarian pause in Aleppo, the UN has to give guarantees for the stop of attacks by terrorists and allow the delivering of international humanitarian aid.” Igor Konashenkov, Spokesperson for the Russian Defense Ministry said at a press conference on Wednesday.

He added that the terrorists are daily and heavily shelling Aleppo residential neighborhoods, claiming the lives of tens of civilians, the majority of them children, so, in light of these conditions, the terrorists will exploit any humanitarian truce to boost their capabilities.
