The missile defense system iron dome missile shot down over the Golan heights coming from Syria. While air RAID sirens was not included in the settlements of this region, as, presumably, the rocket did not threaten built-up areas.
For the first time during the random shelling of Israeli territory from Syria were involved in the missile defense system «Iron dome.»
No injuries were reported.
According to preliminary estimates, the missile accidentally flew into "Israeli territory".
According to another report, the iron dome was hit by a mortar shell, not a rocket.
In recent increase in cases of occasional mortar attacks on "Israeli territory" from Syria, where there are fights between the various factions and government troops.
Usually after such incidents, the Israeli army strikes on the positions of Assad’s soldiers.
