Petrobras Scandal : The judge approved the indictment against the ex-President of Brazil

The Brazilian judge approved the indictment against former Brazilian President Luiz inácio Lula da Silva. He is accused of obstructing investigation of corruption in state oil company Petrobras.


Lula da Silva was President of Brazil from 2003 to 2010.

According to the indictment, Lula da Silva and five others tried to buy the silence of former Director of Petrobras, testified about corruption.

The Prosecutor’s office in são Paulo intends to present the former President and other charges, including money laundering.

We will remind that on may 12 in the backdrop of a Grand corruption scandal affecting the highest echelons of power, the Brazilian Senate voted the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff. The acting President was Vice-President Michel Temer. Rousseff removed from office, at least 180 days.
