Pendant un exercice de sécurité pour les incidents armés, des informations sur de possibles coups de feu réels se sont répandues, entraînant le confinement de l'aéroport et la mise en sécurité du personnel.
Peu après, le média MSNCB a indiqué que selon toute vraisemblance, un travailleur qui n'était pas informé de l'exercice en cours a vu un homme armé par la fenêtre et donné l'alerte.
A aucun moment, il n'y a eu de confirmation que des coups de feux ont été tirés.
Des milliers de militaires américains et leurs familles vivent sur la base aérienne d'Andrews, dans le Maryland, où le président Barack Obama joue régulièrement au golf...

US: 'Active shooter' drill gone wrong sparks media frenzy...
ReplyDeleteJoint Base Andrews, home of Air Force One, was placed under lock down Thursday amid reports of an active shooter on the grounds, sending media around the world into a frenzy.
Around 9:00 am local time (1400 GMT) reports of a shooter prompted the lock down and personnel were instructed to shelter in place.
The base later tweeted "The incident is ongoing at the Malcolm Grow Medical Facility. First responders are on-scene now. All personnel continue to shelter in place."
In a follow up tweet the base said “The base was scheduled to conduct an active shooter exercise, however, reports of a real-world active shooter situation were reported at Malcolm Grow medical facility.”
According to the Washington Post a law enforcement official said the lock down could have been a false alarm triggered by someone on the base who did not know there was a drill scheduled.
“We don’t know if somebody has misunderstood that this exercise was an exercise,” the official said.....i24news.tv
