A suicide bomber has killed at least 40 people in an attack Thursday on an Afghan police convoy outside Kabul, officials say.
A pair of bombs exploded near vehicles carrying cadets returning from a graduation ceremony on the western edge of the city.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack on a police academy in the capital Kabul that is feared to have killed dozens of recruits.
The attack comes just nine days after another suicide bomber in Kabul killed 14 Nepali security guards.
