Suicide Car Bomb Explodes near Russian Embassy in Kabul

A suicide car bomb explosion struck near the Russian embassy in Kabul, the embassy confirmed to RT. Four people have died in the attack, according to Afghan officials.

Four people have been killed and 24 injured, Afghan Deputy Minister of Interior Muhammad Ayoub Salangi tweeted.

The suicide car bomb attack took place on Darul Aman road, according to embassy spokesman Aleksey Kosarev. 


He said there were no casualties among the embassy staff.

Since the beginning of 2016, Kabul has been hit by at least at least six bomb attacks - in the most recent on Sunday a rocket landed near the Italian embassy, wounding two security guards. 

The Indian and Pakistani missions have also recently been targeted.
