Poroshenko: No black cat of federalization in decentralization amendments to Constitution

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stressed that there is no "black cat of federalization" in the Constitutional amendments regarding decentralization of power, an UNIAN correspondent reports from a Kyiv conference of representatives of local authorities, members of the Association of the Ukrainian Cities.

"Decentralization now enjoys strong support of the Ukrainian people, and this is extremely important. And we will not allow anyone to ignore this opinion. No one is allowed to slander, mislead and try to destabilize the public, whatever the intentions of those who are now trying to stop the process of decentralization, those who are trying to put a spoke in the wheel…" said the president.

Poroshenko stressed that there is no need to look for a “black cat of federalization”  in a dark room, because it is just not there.

 "I have some very bad news: there is no ‘black cat of federalization’ this threat to the state in constitutional amendments. So stop deceiving people," said Poroshenko.
