Palestine requests anti-violence international policy

The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) called on Saturday for a new international policy to treat causes of violence and tension.

Spokesman for the Palestinian presidency Nabil Abu Rdainah said that this approach is needed to end the chaos that "resulted from the wrong policies put forth by the regional and international parties in the area."

Abu Rdainah said in a statement published by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA that a "just solution to the Palestinian cause, and providing Palestinians with international protection would paralyze all the forces that are playing on the sectarian currents."

The statement, in response to the wave of violence that hit the area, said that the regional and international powers have been dealing with the region's crisis in a wrong way that instigated sectarianism, conflicts and chaos in the Arab world and the international arena.

Abu Rdainah reiterated that without the establishment of the independent Palestinian state and the implementation of the international legitimacy resolutions, the world would become an arena for a dangerous political and religious conflict.

He called upon the world to actively and seriously work to confront these challenges.
