Yatsenyuk, Nuland discuss cooperation in returning ex-officials’ money back to Ukraine

Ukraine’s Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk met in Kiev with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, the press service of the Ukrainian prime minister said on Thursday.

"A major subject for discussion was cooperation in investigations of cases on illegal money of Ukraine’s former top official drained abroad," the press service said.

The sides also discussed the current state of the implementation of the programme of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and "preparations for the launching of a free trade zone between Ukraine and the European Union from January 1, 2016," the press ervice said.

Apart from that, Yatsenuyk and Nuland touched upon issues of the implementation of the Minsk agreements, economic reforms and anti-corruption efforts in Ukraine, and the United States’ assistance in these processes.
