During his visit, Mr. Eide will meet bilaterally with the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders to continue discussions on prospects for the resumption of talks in the spring.
Together with his Good Offices team, Mr. Eide also plans to meet bilaterally with the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot negotiators in support of their substantive preparations.

ReplyDeleteΚοντά στο ακρωτήρι του Αποστόλου Ανδρέα βρίσκεται το ερευνητικό τουρκικό σκάφος Barbaros και κατευθύνεται προς την Τουρκία.
Την ανακοίνωση απόπλου του ερευνητικού πλοίου «Barbaros» από το κατεχόμενο λιμάνι της Αμμοχώστου για την Τουρκία, ανακοίνωσε χθές ο λέγομενος υπουργός Εξωτερικών του ψευδοκράτους Οζντίλ Ναμί.
Η αναχώρηση του Barbaros από την Κύπρο γίνεται ύστερα από την απομάκρυνση της ελληνοκυπριακής πλατφόρμας SAIPEM 10000 της ENI/KOGAS από την κυπριακή ΑΟΖ .
Ο κύριος Ναμί κάλεσε επίσης τον Πρόεδρο Αναστασιάδη να επιστρέψει στο τραπέζι των διαπραγματεύσεων.

Το σεισμικό φεύγει, το γελοίο παραμένει...
ReplyDeleteΤο σεισμικό φεύγει, το γελοίο παραμένει και ο λόγος είναι απλός. Όταν φεύγεις, ενώ δεν έχεις κάνει απολύτως τίποτα και προσπαθείς να το αξιοποιήσεις διπλωματικά, δείχνει πόσο χαμηλά είναι το επίπεδό σου. Έχουμε τέσσερις μήνες που παρακολουθούμε τις κινήσεις ενός σεισμικού, που ουσιαστικά παρέμεινε στο λιμάνι της Αμμοχώστου, δίχως να κάνει καμιά έρευνα στα θαλάσσια οικόπεδα που προέβλεπε η NAVTEX, δηλαδή το 1, το 8 και το 12. Έτσι όλοι μίλησαν για την ενόχληση που δημιουργούσε ένα σεισμικό που είχε δέσει σε λιμάνι. Τώρα που φεύγει, προσπαθούν να πουν ότι σχετίζεται με το γεωτρύπανο της ENI στο κοίτασμα Αμαθούσα. Η πραγματικότητα είναι ριζικά διαφορετική. Η ENI έκανε κανονικότατα την έρευνά της στο θαλάσσιο οικόπεδο 9 για το κοίτασμα Ονασαγόρα και στη συνέχεια για το κοίτασμα Αμαθούσα χωρίς να υποστεί καμιά απολύτως παρενόχληση. Έτσι η έρευνα ακολούθησε την κλασσική διαδικασία. Κατά συνέπεια, αν το σεισμικό φεύγει μάς αφήνει εντελώς αδιάφορους όσον αφορά στην ΑΟΖ. Ήταν από την αρχή ένα τέχνασμα, ούτε καν στρατήγημα και ξέραμε όλοι την χαμηλή του αξία. Τώρα είναι πλέον απόδειξη. Ας το θέσουμε ξεκάθαρα τώρα κι ας συνεχίσουμε το έργο μας στο πλαίσιο της κυπριακής ΑΟΖ, δίχως ν’ ασχολούμαστε με ανούσια. Διότι η πρωτοβουλία είναι η ΑΟΖ κι όχι ένα σεισμικό της αδράνειας και της απραξίας.

Top UN envoy in Cyprus for talks next week...
ReplyDeleteThe Special Adviser of the UN Secretary-General Espen Barth Eide returns to Cyprus on Monday, 6 April “to follow up on the encouraging indications received during his last trip to the island regarding a possible resumption of the negotiations,” the UN announced here today.
Eide will meet bilaterally with the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders (Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu) “to continue discussions on prospects for the resumption of talks in the spring,” the press release says.
Eide, together with his Good Offices team, he will also meet bilaterally with the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot negotiators in support of their substantive preparations.
