Observers surprised at Ukraine Security Service’s intention to include them into blacklist

International observers in the elections of heads and parliamentarians in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics on Sunday expressed surprise at a statement by the Security Service of Ukraine on its intention to include them into a list of persona non grata.

Earlier, the Security Service said it intended to include foreign observers in the elections in the Donetsk and Lugansk republics into a list of “persona non grata”.

“We consider their activity criminal,” the Security Service said.

Montenegrin parliament deputy Radojica Zivkovic said, “We decide nothing here. We arrived to monitor the elections. They are being held as it was agreed in Minsk. We’re only observers here.”

Another international observer, Serbia’s Politika newspaper writer Slobodan Samardzic said: “I believe that when we return to Belgrade we’ll send a protest to the Ukrainian Embassy in Belgrade.”

“I believe that the Ukrainian authorities should not be so stupid,” he said.

Ukraine’s President Pyotr Poroshenko has threatened to offer an “adequate reaction” to violations of the Ukrainian laws over the elections in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics /DPR and LPR, respectively/.

“The Minsk protocol provides for a possibility of early local elections in certain districts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions exclusively on the basis of Ukraine’s laws. That is why the flagrant violation of international agreements threatened the entire peace process. Ukraine will offer an adequate reaction to this challenge,” the website of the Ukrainian head of state quoted Poroshenko as saying on Sunday.

These elections, according to Poroshenko, are “a flagrant violation of the Minsk protocol of September 5.”...................http://en.itar-tass.com/world/757889
