"The thing is that two protocols will be signed - a trilateral protocol [Russia, Ukraine, EC] and a bilateral protocol [EC, Ukraine]. And what concerns financial issues, what concerns guarantees, given to Ukraine by the European Commission, these liabilities will be signed in a bilateral protocol," Miller said following the results of the trilateral gas talks in Brussels.
"The negotiations will take place [on October 30] only if Ukraine and the European Commission reach an agreement on this bilateral protocol," Miller added.
Miller has noted that if an agreement between the EC and Ukraine is reached, all three documents – two protocols and the addendum to the contract between Gazprom and Naftogaz – could be signed Thursday.
As for the trilateral protocol, according to Miller, all its main provisions were agreed upon.

"The negotiations are not yet completed, we have just had a very long discussion of the documents that should be prepared based on the results of negotiations. They are still being worked out. We have agreed to continue working on October 30. ReplyDeleteΈκκληση για την ολοκλήρωση των διαπραγματεύσεων Ρωσίας – Ουκρανίας για το φυσικό αέριο έκανε ο απερχόμενος πρόεδρος της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής.
Έκκληση σε Ρωσία και Ουκρανία να ολοκληρώσουν τις διαπραγματεύσεις σχετικά με τις παραδόσεις ρωσικού φυσικού αερίου στην Ουκρανία ύστερα από την αποτυχία των χθεσινών συνομιλιών, έκανε ο απερχόμενος πρόεδρος της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής Ζοζέ Μανουέλ Μπαρόζο.
Ο Μπαρόζο, ο οποίος συνομίλησε με τον Ουκρανό πρόεδρο Πέτρο Ποροσένκο αρκετές φορές στη διάρκεια των χθεσινών διαπραγματεύσεων υπό την αιγίδα της ΕΕ, δήλωσε ότι επίκειται συμφωνία με βάση τις προτάσεις που διατυπώθηκαν από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή.
«Κάλεσε όλες τις πλευρές να μη χάσουν την ευκαιρία να ολοκληρώσουν τις διαπραγματεύσεις προκειμένου να διασφαλίσουν μία συνεχή, αξιόπιστη και βασισμένη στην αγορά παροχή φυσικού αερίου στην Ουκρανία», αναφέρει σε ανακοίνωσή της η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή.
