Two trucks loaded with personal belongings of the victims aboard the
ill-fated Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 arrived Wednesday in Ukraine's government-controlled eastern city of Kharkov before being transferred to the Netherlands, authorities said.
The belongings, which had been handed over by the search and rescue team to a group of Dutch experts, came from the crash site of the plane in the Donetsk region, the Kharkov Regional State Administration said in an online statement.
They will be moved into special containers at an arms plant in Kharkov to ensure their safe transfer to the Netherlands, the statement said.
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was downed on July 17 near the city of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 people aboard. Among the victims, 193 were Dutch.

MH17 crash site safe for experts’ work — Donetsk republic leader...
ReplyDeletePrime Minister of Ukraine’s self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, said on Wednesday nothing prevents international experts from working at the Malaysian airliner crash site in eastern Ukraine.
“The village where Boeing 777 crashed is located in the rear, and the commission can work there calmly,” Zakharchenko said, adding that he is surprised the debris of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 remain scattered at the crash site.
“Such a lack of action raises many questions,” he said. “Any piece of wreckage is evidence.”...........http://en.itar-tass.com/world/754606
