Athens is not contributing to the solution of the name dispute. --More pressure must be exerted to Greece says Ivanov (FYROM news)

By Naser Pajaziti

President of FYROM, George Ivanov addressed accusations today against Athens for not contributing for the solution of the name dispute.

“Athens is acting based on its power, it’s evading the framework of talks for the name dispute and is not contributing to find an acceptable solution”, declared Ivanov today, a day before the so called “Uprising if Illiden”.

Ivanov underlined that that more pressure must be exerted to Greece in order for this country to respect international law and its international obligations.

“For every normal human being is unacceptable that today, on the 21st century, some refuse to believe that Republic of Macedonia [FYROM] is a reality of the Balkan and Europe. It’s unacceptable to deny someone his language and identity. It’s unacceptable for someone to deny our right of existence and to be where we’ve always been”, said president Ivanov.

After the recent declaration of the German chancellor, Angela Merkel in relation to the name dispute, Ivanov says that the direct involvement of the most powerful European states to overcome the problem of the European integration of FYROM, is welcomed, in order to put an end once and for all to this status quo. /ibna/
