The US first ambassador in Skopje, Christopher Hill has stressed that the USA have made steps backward and lost their interest on the solution of the name dispute with FYROM. The US diplomat has also stressed that FYROM must double its diplomatic efforts toward Washington and Brussels.

Hill made these comments for media in Skopje commenting the visit of the Greek PM, Antonis Samaras in the USA.

“USA has made steps backward and there are no appropriate conditions for the solution of the name dispute. I believe that FYROM must send messages to the USA that it’s ready to make efforts in order for this issue to be solved. I understand that this is very difficult, but we’re talking about the issue of the name change and the citizens of FYROM must show wisdom in their perception about this issue”, added Hill. /ibna/
