Η υποβάθμιση της βαθμολόγησης των ομολόγων σε ξένο νόμισμα αντικατοπτρίζει την αυξημένη αβεβαιότητα για τις προοπτικές της κυπριακής οικονομίας, λόγω των υψηλών ρίσκων εφαρμογής του προγράμματος και της αναδιάρθρωσης των τραπεζών, αναφέρει η Fitch.
Η υποβάθμιση σε τοπικό νόμισμα, καθρεφτίζει την εκτίμηση για το υψηλότερο ρίσκο των ομολόγων που υπόκεινται στο εγχώριο δίκαιο σε σχέση με αυτά που υπόκεινται στο ξένο δίκαιο, λέει η Fitch.
Σύμφωνα με τη Fitch οι όροι του προγράμματος διάσωσης είναι ευνοϊκοί για τα ομόλογα ξένου δικαίου.
Το ενδεχόμενο μιας εθελοντικής ανταλλαγής για ομόλογα εγχώριου δικαίου άφησε αναοιχτό η έκθεση του ΔΝΤ που δημοσιεύτηκε το Μαϊο και περιλαμβάνει μια σαφή διάκριση μεταξύ των ομολόγων εγχώριου και ξένου δικαίου, αναφέρει ο διεθνής οίκος.

Fitch cut Cyprus's rating to B-minus for economic uncertainty .....
ReplyDeleteMonday, rating agency Fitch cut Cyprus's rating further into junk and warned more cuts could be on the way as an EU/IMF rescue program could fail.
The agency cut Cyprus's long-term foreign currency issuer default rating to B-minus from B with a negative outlook due to the country's elevated economic uncertainty.
Cyprus clinched a last-minute deal for a bailout program in March with the European Union and International Monetary Fund.
"Cyprus has no flexibility to deal with domestic or external shocks and there is a high risk of the (EU/IMF) program going off track, with financing buffers potentially insufficient to absorb material fiscal and economic slippage," Fitch said in a statement.
