Iran vows retaliation for Trump's new policy on Islamic guards

Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi
Iran's foreign ministry said Friday that the Islamic republic would retaliate for the US planned measures against the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

"Any move against the Iranian armed forces, including the IRGC, will be met by Iran's strong response," said Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi.

On Friday, US President Donald Trump unveiled his aggressive new policy towards Iran, saying that the US administration would slap a variety of tough sanctions on the IRGC for what Trump called IRGC's "malign" role in the region and its support for terrorism.
