Syrian government troops destroy terrorists’ chemical weapons depot in Idlib

The Syrian government troops have destroyed a terrorists’ chemical weapons depot in the town of Khan Shekhoun in the northwestern province of Idlib, the Al-Masdar web portal reported on Tuesday, citing a source in Syria’s armed forces.

As a spokesman for the Syrian government troops said, the operation involved Sukhoi Su-22 fighter bombers that cannot carry chemical weapons.

The news agency Reuters reported earlier on Tuesday, citing the London-based [so-called] "Syrian Observatory for Human Rights"that an air strike by Syrian or Russian jets had allegedly killed 58 people, including 11 children.

As Reuters said, the air strike could have been carried out by the Syrian government forces in a suspected gas attack.

The Syrian army denied any allegations, saying "it is not using and has not used any chemical weapons."
