Local and media sources said that "the coalition's warplanes launched violent airstrikes on residential buildings in al-Msherfeh area to the north of Raqqa. The attack claimed the lives of 20 people, wounded many others and caused huge damage in the site."

Since August 2014, the United States has been leading an international coalition allegedly to fight "Daesh" terrorist organization in Iraq and Syria. It has carried out thousands of raids, but failed to stop the expansion of the extremist organization or achieve any achievement on ground because of the lack of seriousness about fighting terrorism and because the coalition didn't coordinate its strikes with the governments of the two countries.

In Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the US-led coalition's airstrikes against civilian targets in northern Raqqa.
“These reports cause great concern … missile and bombing raids targeting and killing ordinary Syrians are unacceptable and should be harshly condemned. It’s hard to accept “mistakes” or “negligence” as an explanation widely used by those who came to Syria without an invitation,” a Russian Foreign Ministry statement said on Thursday.
