At least 28 people killed, 53 wounded in twin explosions in Baghdad

At least 28 people were killed and another 53 wounded Saturday in two explosions in central Baghdad.

The twin attack was carried out by two suicide bombers, who detonated the explosives-laden belts they were wearing in a crowd of people in the capital's Al Sinak neighborhood, a security official said.

The official had said earlier that the explosions had been caused by two bomb packages.

Several buildings and vehicles were damaged in the explosions, the source added.

No group has claimed the attack so far.
