The United Kingdom prime minister said Friday her government was prepared to trigger the negotiation process for her country to leave the European Union by Mar. 2017.
Speaking to members of the media in Berlin alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel days after a leaked note claimed the UK government did not yet have a plan for Brexit, Theresa May reinforced her Mar. timetable for the activation of Article 50 of the Treaty of Lisbon.
"Our work is on track, we do stand ready to trigger Article 50 before the end of March, or by the end of 2017," May said.
