Hamas accuses Turkey of surrender to Israel

Representatives of the leadership of the Hamas movement accused the Turkish authorities that they have compromised the interests of the residents of the Gaza strip for normalization of relations with Israel. This writes the London newspaper «al-Rai al-yum» with reference to own sources in the group.

«President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced to us that did everything possible for the lifting of the blockade or at least ease, but the Israeli government did not go into this issue any concessions,» say they.

According to representatives of Hamas, the Turkish representatives told them that the normalization of relations with Israel, the strategic interests of Ankara, and Turkey is ready to make concessions in question, which is vital for the people of Gaza.

The publication notes that after the intensification of negotiations the Turkish government has cut off all contact with the head of Hamas ‘ political Bureau, Khaled Mashaal. Recall that the termination of activity of the group in Turkey from the point of view of Israel was a condition for normalization.

June 21, Hurriyet newspaper reported that on June 26, Israel and Turkey intend to inform about the conflict between the two States and restore relations in full before the end of July 2016 – including cooperation in the defense sector.

According to the Turkish publication, the compromise was a significant success for Israel. Jerusalem agreed to the construction of the Gaza medical center, which will receive the Turkish equipment and supplies. Turkey and Germany will build in the power sector. The Turks also erected desalination plant.
